Sahil is a senior associate at Kingsley Napley, a city law firm. His practice covers all aspects of public law from judicial reviews to public inquiries, with particular expertise in environmental and climate change cases, human rights challenges, and public procurement litigation. Sahil is a dual-qualified solicitor, having first qualified as an Advocate in India (2013), and then trained in the London and Tokyo offices of Herbert Smith Freehills (2014-2016) before becoming an associate in the team.
His skills lie in helping organisations of all shapes and sizes navigate legal and governance matters and public policy issues, and in helping shape decisions through a sustainability and environmental lens. With experience of working with journalists, politicians and campaign groups as well as C-suites and in-house teams, Sahil brings a rounded perspective to advising and problem-solving.
Sahil brings a strong link to the recreational game in Middlesex as the current first team captain and a committee member of Acton Cricket Club (roles he has held since 2018). He sits on a Middlesex advisory panel that feeds into the County Grants Fund allocation process, and has supported the club with its wider facilities strategy.
Sahil has worked for and with several not-for-profit organisations on strategic matters, including the Good Law Project (where he worked between 2020-2024 and was their first full-time litigator), the Marine Conservation Society, and Liberty. He is also an advisor on environmental law issues to a community group based in Devon.
Sahil has appeared on BBC News, BBC Radio, Euronews and on various podcasts to discuss legal developments, and has contributed to a module for the Open University.
In addition to Acton CC, Sahil captains the England and Wales Solicitors cricket team and is an MCC candidate.
