Asif is a Partner & Head of Early-Stage, Tech & High Growth at accounting firm, Cooper Parry.
He specialises in working with venture capital backed companies as they scale and is widely recognised as a leader in the field. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant from PricewaterhouseCoopers he went on to establish and grow a successful advisory firm that was acquired at the end of 2022.
His work focusses on equipping investor backed companies with financial rigour, governance and best practices to go on to scale into large organisations. Over the last 20 years, this includes numerous examples of businesses that have grown from an idea to substantial enterprises.
Having built a successful career as an entrepreneur that advises entrepreneurs, Asif is has also been appointed to various Government Boards and consultative committees at both HM Revenue & Customs & HM Treasury. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and was awarded the Freedom of the City of London. In 2021, he authored the Best-Selling book, ‘The Finance Playbook for Entrepreneurs’.
Asif is a passionate sportsman, starting as a schoolboy playing for Stanmore Cricket Club, Middlesex County Cricket Club, Hertfordshire County Rugby and continues to play, albeit recreationally, today.
He is also a member of the MCC.
